摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of improving transmittance of an electrode in which slits are formed. SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of pixels 3 that forms a display unit 2 is constituted of: at least first and second substrates 12 and 29 that is arranged oppositely to each other with liquid crystal molecules M disposed therebetween; and a common electrode 22 and a pixel electrode 24 that are disposed on one substrate of the first and the second substrates 12 and 29 with an insulating film 23 disposed therebetween so as to drive the liquid crystal molecules. In the electrode of the common electrode 22 and the pixel electrode 24 that is disposed closer to the liquid crystal molecules, at least a pair of slit forming regions A1 and A2 having a plurality of slits S1 and S2 having a predetermined tilt angle with respect to a rubbing direction and parallel to each other are disposed so that the slits S1 and S2 are axially symmetric with respect to a line orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the pixel 3 and outer edges 31 and 32 on the sides opposite to the other slit forming region of the slit forming regions A1 and A2 are formed in parallel to the slits S1 and S2 formed in the inner part thereof.
