<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a toner cartridge freely attached to or detached from an image forming apparatus for printing while receiving supplied toner has such a fault that, when the cartridge is not attached, a shutter closing a toner supply port may be moved and opened. <P>SOLUTION: The toner cartridge 5 includes an outer cartridge 31 with the toner supply port 31a, and an inner cartridge 32 for opening/closing the supply port 31a. In the toner cartridge 5, the lock pin 43 of an arm member 42 formed from a magnetic body and held by the inner cartridge 32 is pressed by a tension spring 44, consequently fits into a through-hole 32d in the inner cartridge 32 and a bottomed hole 31b in the outer cartridge 31, and thus restricting the opening of the supply port 31a. When the toner cartridge 5 in this state is attached to the main body 23a of a development unit, the restriction is released by the attraction by a magnet 48, thus making it possible to open the supply port 31a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
