<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight device capable of driving a required number of light-emitting elements in matrix while restraining cost hike. <P>SOLUTION: The backlight device 120 includes a power source line 200 of an anode side, a power source line 210 of a cathode side, and a plurality of current paths 220, 222, 224 connected in parallel between the power source lines. The current paths 222, 224 serially connect four LEDs, and a current path 226 connects three LEDs in series. A total of VF of the four LEDs of the current paths 220, 222 and a total of VF of the three LEDs are equal, whereby, matrix driving of the required number of LEDs is enabled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
