<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve uniform temperature of light emitting elements mounted on a light source substrate. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device is provided with a backlight unit 3 that illuminates a liquid crystal panel 4 of transmission type from behind. The backlight unit 3 has: a plurality of light source substrates 10 on each of which are mounted a plurality of light emitting elements 11 that emit illumination light; a bottom chassis 6 on whose one surface side the plurality of light source substrates 10 are attached; and an optical sheet block 20 that is attached on the one surface side of the bottom chassis 6 with a space therebetween and applies optical processing to the illumination light emitted from the light source substrates 10. In the bottom chassis 6, a low-temperature area and a high-temperature in which temperature is higher than in the low-temperature area are formed by conduction of heat generated by the light emitting elements 11 via the light source substrates 10. The light source substrates 10 that are attached to the low-temperature area are attached to a face of the bottom chassis 6 through heat insulating members 6c, 31, and 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
