<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for managing existence information of all client terminals without forming an exclusive server and without forming a means for transmitting an exclusive packet for notifying a client terminal of the existence information of its own client terminal. <P>SOLUTION: The existence information of respective IP apparatuses 3 is managed by a router 2 for repeating IP packets transmitted/received to/from a plurality of IP apparatuses 3. The router 2 monitors IP packets (packets to be monitored), such as a SIP packet whose destination is a prescribed SIP server and a POP3 packet whose destination is a prescribed mail server, having low possibility of transmission from an IP apparatus 3 when a user is absent and manages the existence information of the IP apparatus 3 based on the monitored result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
