<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical RGB laser that is useful in digital holography. <P>SOLUTION: The laser oscillator is a dual-cavity single longitudinal mode (SLM) laser oscillator which generates a pulsed laser signal, and includes: an output coupler; a rear mirror forming a first cavity with the output coupler; a cavity internal mirror arranged along a common axis between the output coupler and the rear mirror and forming a second cavity with the output coupler; a laser medium arranged between the output coupler and the cavity internal mirror and generating a laser beam; and a passive Q switch arranged between the output coupler and the cavity internal mirror, wherein the passive Q switch restricts the number of modes in the laser oscillator to three or less. The first and the second cavities are composed to provide the further mode discrimination, and the laser oscillator generates single longitudinal mode laser pulse. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
