<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smaller and maintenance-free motion device to which lubricant is appropriately supplied. <P>SOLUTION: A ball spline device S comprises a spline shaft 1 having a ball rolling face 10, and an outer cylinder 2 having a load ball rolling face forming a load rolling passage 31a where a ball 3 rolls in a loaded condition, together with the ball rolling face 10, and a non-load rolling passage 32 forming an endless circuit 30 where the ball 3 rolls in a non-loaded condition, together with the load rolling passage 31a, the spline shaft 1 and the outer cylinder 2 being relatively moved via the ball 3.
