PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color imaging device having high definition and high sensitivity. SOLUTION: In the color imaging device, a first imaging element (20) for outputting a color signal and a second imaging element (30) outputting a brightness signal are laminated. The first imaging element has first optoelectric transducer arrays (10 and 22) for arraying light-transmitting optoelectric transducers having the peak sensitivities of the photoelectric conversion characteristics, in each wavelength region of R, G and B respectively in a two-dimensional array shape and reading circuits reading charges generated in the optoelectric transducers. The second imaging element has second optoelectric transducer arrays (11 and 32) for arraying the optoelectric transducers, having a substantially uniform photoelectric conversion characteristics in the wavelength region of visible rays, in the two-dimensional array shape and receiving the transmitted rays transmitted through the first optoelectric transducer arrays in each optoelectric transducer and the reading circuits reading charges generated in the optoelectric transducers. Since, in principle, all the incident beams are utilized for a photoelectric conversion, the color imaging device having high sensibility is realized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
