PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic atomizer facilitating the proper adjustment of a discharge direction and discharge position in discharging charged liquid particles with a device attached to an object, and capable of effectively diffusing the charged liquid particles toward the outside space. SOLUTION: The electrostatic atomizer includes an atomizing electrode 4 and a liquid supply means for supplying an atomized liquid to the atomizing electrode 4. A high voltage is applied to the atomizing electrode 4 to electrostatically atomize the atomized liquid held on the atomizing electrode 4 to generate charged liquid particles and discharge the liquid toward the outside space. The apparatus has a changing means for allowing change of both or either one of the discharge direction A2 and/or the discharge position of the charged liquid particles.
