PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent corrosion of equipment such as a tank body of a gas holder and piping to the tank body when by-product gas generated in a chemical plant, an iron mill or the like is recovered as fuel gas in the gas holder. SOLUTION: Equipment 8 which generates by-product gas containing combustible gas components is equipped with by-product gas recovery equipments 11-20 for recovering the by-product gas, and a cooling device 2 and a dust collector 6 are installed on the way of a carrier pipe 1 which connects the by-product gas recovery equipments 11-20 with a gas holder 7 for storing the by-product gas to remove dust in the by-product gas as well as to cool the by-product gas to ordinary temperature.
