PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp which has sufficient light beam increased in lamp current by improving convergence of electrons during a cathode cycle. SOLUTION: The fluorescent lamp (10) of this invention comprising two inner lead lines (14a and 14b) and a filament electrode (15) supported by the inner lead lines (14a and 14b) includes a belt ring (16) at the counter electrode side of the filament electrode (15). The belt ring (16) is electrically connected to the inner lead line (14a), wherein a distance between the belt ring (16) and the filament electrode (15) is 1 mm to 3 mm and the belt ring (16) is electrically connected to the inner lead line (14a) at the side of an AC power supply.
