PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the moving range by translational movement appropriate regardless of the characteristic of driving operation by a driver. SOLUTION: Virtual acceleration and angular velocity applied to a vehicle are calculated based on the driving operation by the driver, scaling of multiplying the calculated acceleration by a scale factor (coefficient) is performed, a stationary component of the acceleration simulated by tilting of a simulation vehicle by a tilting mechanism is removed from the acceleration after scaling, and the translational movement of the simulation vehicle by a translation mechanism is controlled according to the high frequency component of the acceleration extracted through a high-pass filter. When the highest value of the calculated acceleration is a first predetermined value or higher or the high frequency component of the acceleration is large, the translational movement range is reduced by decreasing the scale factor. When the highest value of the acceleration is a second predetermined value or higher or the low frequency component of the acceleration is large, the translational movement range is increased by increasing the scale factor or reducing the cutoff frequency of the high-pass filter.
