PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detector capable of enhancing a position discrimination ability in an end part. SOLUTION: A light emitted in a scintillator element 1a is sufficiently diffused by a scintillator array 1 in a part other than the end part, to be input into a photomultiplier tube (PMT) 2, by providing a side face light guide 3 coupled optically to a side face part of the scintillator array 1. The light emitted in a scintillator element 1a is sufficiently diffused to the side face light guide 3 too, in the end part, to be input into the PMT 2. The emitted light is sufficiently diffused to the side face light guide 3, even in the scintillator element 1a located in the end part, by this manner, position computation map separation precision is enhanced in the end part, and the position discrimination ability is enhanced in the end part.
