PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pump up all pulp in a chest under constant pressure and to feed the pulp to a beater in beating pulp. SOLUTION: The method for beating pulp being a paper making material includes a step for holding unbeaten pulp in a first chest and stirring the pulp, a step for sending the unbeaten pulp from the first chest to the beater by a pump, a step for beating the unbeaten pulp by the beater, a step for weighing the amount of the pulp after the beating, a step for sending the beaten pulp to a second chest until the amount of the pulp after beating reaches a fixed amount, and when the amount reaches a fixed amount, changing the transportation goal from the second chest to the first chest by a flow change-over valve, a step for returning, circulating, and beating the unbeaten pulp and the beaten pulp after the transportation change, and a step for sending a predetermined flow rate of the pulp to the second chest by the flow change-over valve after circulating and beating step.
