PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing flame-retardant and expandable polystyrenic resin particles in which a flame retardant can uniformly be impregnated into the resin particles, and obtains polystyrene resin foam-molded products that can give good cutting face, when nichrome cutting by using an in-mold foam molding. SOLUTION: In the method for production of flame-retardant and expandable polystyrenic resin particles, before or during a foaming agent is impregnated into the polystyrenic resin particles dispersed in an aqueous suspension, then 14 to 200 PPW of a powdery flame-retardant is dissolved with heat into 100 PPW of a plasticizer, then cooled down to deposit the flame retardant. Then, resultant dispersion of the flame-retardant is fed to the aqueous dispersion to be impregnated into the polystyrenic resin particles. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
