PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocurable composition for the production of a photocurable pressure-sensitive adhesive that has excellent coatability although it is solventless, is easy to control a semi-cured state after irradiation with ultraviolet rays, exhibits excellent adhesive strength after fully cured and is excellent in curability even at a portion having air present therein when adherends are bonded together and fully cured and to provide a photocurable pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet using the photocurable composition. SOLUTION: The photocurable composition for the production of a photocurable pressure-sensitive adhesive includes a compound having a maleimide group which may have a substituent attached to an unsaturated double bond and an ethylenically unsaturated group other than the maleimide group, (B) a compound having an ethylenically unsaturated group other than the component (A) and (C) a photopolymerization initiator.
