PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat for a vehicle having a walk-in function and a tilt-down function, ensuring a wider froward evacuated space for a seat body when performing walk-in operation. SOLUTION: An X link mechanism 10 moves up and down a seat cushion 3 to a floor F. In the X link mechanism 10, an operation link 5 is connected between a seat back 2 and the X link mechanism, and a stopper member 20 is provided for stopping the movement of the X link mechanism 10 in a lowering direction along the way. The stopper member 20 is worked when operating the walk-in function to cancel the rotation inhibition condition of a reclining device 6, thereby the X link mechanism 10 lowers by being pushed by the operation link 5 in association with forward inclination of the seat back 2. At this time, the seat back 2 is forwardly inclined to a halfway position where the lowering movement of the X link mechanism 10 is inhibited by the stopper member 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
