PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for restraining wireless traffic in a vehicle by controlling a vehicle-mounted instrument with a wireless LAN to transmit required data when needed. SOLUTION: This instrument includes a vehicle-mounted camera 200 with a wireless LAN installed in a vehicle, and a monitor 100 with a wireless LAN installed in the vehicle for displaying image data photographed by the vehicle-mounted camera 200. When it is determined that the vehicle is put in a back gear mode, the vehicle-mounted camera 200 and the monitor 100 display the image data photographed by the vehicle-mounted camera 200 to the monitor 100 when it is determined that the vehicle is put in the back gear mode, and brings the vehicle-mounted camera 200 into a sleep state when it is determined that the vehicle is not put in the back gear mode.
