PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hardly clamp a leg of an occupant between a dashboard and a seat cushion and to easily rescue the occupant even if it is clamped. SOLUTION: A seat pan 18 fixed to a frame of a seat cushion of a front seat of an automobile and supporting a cushion material 19 is provided with a notch 18a recessed to a rear side of a vehicle body at a central part of the front edge. When the dashboard is retreated at front collision of the vehicle, the leg of the occupant pushed by the dashboard is fitted to the notch 18a of the seat pan 18 while elastically deforming the cushion material 19. Thereby, impact received by the leg of the occupant is suppressed to the minimum and the leg of the occupant can be easily removed from the space between the dashboard and the seat cushion.
