<p>An AC motor controller comprising an inverter connected to a DC power supply to output a three-phase AC current to the AC motor, a current detector for detecting the current of the AC motor, and a voltage command/PWM signal generating section for calculating an inverter output voltage command according to the signal from the current detector and generating a pulse-width modulation signal for controlling a switching element included in the inverter according to the output voltage command. The controller further comprises a motor-current unbalance compensating section for generating a motor-current unbalance compensation amount according to the current detected by the current detector. The voltage command/PWM signal generating section directly or indirectly adjusts the pulse-width modulation signal depending on the operating status of the inverter according to the amount of motor-current unbalance compensation.</p> |
