<p>A clamp moving device (10) for advancing and retracting, by using a chain member, a mold fixing clamp device (70) in the horizontal direction along a T-groove (7) in the lower surface of a slide (2) of a press machine (1). The clamp moving device (10) has a block member (11), the chain member (40), and chain member drive means (20). The chain member (40) has idler wheels (46). At least that portion of the chain member (40) which is introduced into the T-groove (7) is constructed from a bidirectionally bendable chain (42) bendable in both directions, that is, in the direction to the idler wheels (46) and in the direction to the side opposite the idler wheels (46). The remaining portion of the chain member (40) is constructed from a single directionally bendable chain (41) bendable only to the idler wheel (46) side. When the clamp moving device clamps a mold, the idler wheels of the bidirectionally bendable chain (42) are set to a vertically zigzag pattern in the T-groove in the lower surface of the slide (2) to prevent the wheels from rattling relative to the slide (2).</p> |
