A printing method, a recording medium in which a program for performing the same is recorded, and a host device are provided to enable a user to re-print data easily and conveniently. A file operating unit(172) converts the image data prepared in an application program into an EMF file, and then stores a vector-based format file in a storage space of a storing unit. A printed data converting unit(171) converts inputted data into print data. A transmission unit(173) transmits the print data, converted by printed data converting unit, to a printer through a host interface. In case a printing command for the image data is received, a controller(175) controls the file operating unit and transmission unit so as to convert the image data into the EMF file and transmit the converted print data to the printer.
