The liquid container (1) further comprises a liquid containing chamber (2) having a liquid charging port (10) for containing the liquid. The liquid container (1) is characterized by comprising information means for sending back discrimination information from a recording device, when the surface of the liquid in the liquid container (1) drops to a predetermined position as the liquid decreases.
