PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a stator while enhancing production efficiency. SOLUTION: An apparatus 50 for manufacturing a stator by arranging a plurality of stator core pieces 11 in strip, inserting a winding 20 into a slot 19 between adjoining stator core pieces to form a strip stator core piece and then deforming the strip stator core piece tubularly, comprises a throw-in guide section 51 for arranging the strip stator core pieces, a rotary drum 55 for winding the strip stator core pieces along the outer circumferential surface 69, a supporting pin 59 which rotates together with the rotary drum and introduces the stator core pieces from the throw-in guide section onto the outer circumferential surface of the rotary drum, and a drive means for rotating the rotary drum.
