PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high resolution processing device for increasing the resolution of an image signal reduced in a calculation amount. SOLUTION: The device includes: an interpolation low pass filter means 402 that applies an interpolation low pass filter to the vicinity of image data of an input image frame that becomes a reference; and high resolution processing selection means 401 for using information on sampling phase differences (102, 103) to select the flow of processing between high resolution by wide band interpolation means 112, weighted addition means 113, and coefficient determination means 106 and high resolution by the interpolation low pass filter means 402.
