PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network camera capable of simultaneously transmitting image data composed of caught images and image information data relating to the images and easily separating the transmitted image data from the transmitted image information data. SOLUTION: The network camera 10 includes: a camera body 11 provided with a camera part 13, a control part 14, an internal sensor 15 and an outputting part 16; and a universal head 12 supporting the camera body and turnable in pan/tilt directions. In addition, an external sensor 17 and an external microphone 18 are connected to the network, and the network camera is connected to a server 35 and a surveillance monitor terminal device 36 through a network 30. Here, the camera part forms the image data from the caught images, and the control part forms the image information data relating to the images. The image information data and the image data are converted into an XML (Extensible Markup language) format, the image data is embedded in the image information data, and they are transmitted to the server as integrated image data for transfer.
