PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water pump capable of making a structure for preventing water scattered from an outer part of a pump housing from intruding in a drain hole draining condensate collected in the pump housing, very simple and compact. SOLUTION: This pump comprises a first drain hole 2 formed at a lower surface side of the pump housing 1, a drain casing 3 formed around the first drain hole 2, a bottom part 4 provided at a position roughly beneath the drain casing 3, and a float valve 6 formed out of material having lower specific gravity than that of water and abutting on a circumference edge of the first drain hole 2 and blocking the hole. The bottom part 4 or the float valve 6 is provided with a draining means 7 enabling drainage under a condition that the float valve 6 is mounted on the bottom part 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
