PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a spherical pin and a spherical hole guide used as bearing members on a lower load side from uplifting, and preventing the bearing members from seizing and adhering even with highly frequent tilts for a long period of time. SOLUTION: In a swash plate type hydraulic pump 10, a drive shaft 13 is pivotally supported by a housing 11 and a cover 12 via bearings 14, 15, and also at the drive shaft 13, there is arranged a rotatably spline-fitted cylinder block 16. A piston 21 of the cylinder block 16 is equipped with a swash plate 17 on which a spherical end 21a of the piston 21 is slidable via a shoe 22. The swash plate 17 is supported so as to be tiltable by a high load-side spherical hole guide 33 and a low load-side spherical hole guide 34 each mounted on the housing 11, and a high load-side spherical pin 41 and a low load-side spherical pin 42 in spherical contact with the spherical hole guides 33, 34 and mounted on the swash plate 17.
