PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine driven compressor capable of increasing delivery air quantity while inhibiting increase of noise and deterioration of fuel economy when loads of loading apparatuses change in a heavy load zone. SOLUTION: When delivery air quantities of the loading apparatuses change under a condition the maximum delivery air quantity corresponding to set value of delivery pressure is delivered, and the delivery air quantity exceeds the maximum delivery air quantity, engine rotation speed is not raised to inhibit increase of noise and deterioration of fuel economy if delivery pressure is in a range higher than predetermined boundary pressure. The engine rotation speed is raised to deliver additional delivery air quantity if delivery pressure drops to the boundary pressure or less. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
