PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively restrain the growth of bacteria and mold in a toilet bowl only by closing a toilet cover without requiring any complicated mechanism, thereby enhancing an antibacterial effect in a space-saving manner at a low cost. SOLUTION: This toilet bowl apparatus 1 includes a Western-style toilet bowl 2 with a toilet seat 5 and a toilet cover 6 arranged in the openable and closable manner on the upper face of a bowl 4 in a toilet bowl body 3. A part of the toilet bowl 2 includes a holder 8 holding a volatile antibacterial agent 7. A discharge port for discharging an antibacterial component 7a volatilized from the volatile antibacterial agent 7 is provided facing the inside of the bowl 4, and the antibacterial component 7a volatilized through the discharge port can be diffused into a bowl internal space 9.
