PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door body capable of letting a satisfactory image of the appearance of a vertically long panel board appear while ensuring excellent strength and ease of manufacture by the minimum required number of constituent elements. SOLUTION: A frame body 3 supporting and surrounding the panel board 2 is formed by connecting each of end parts of an upper frame part 5 in the longitudinal direction with each of upper end parts of a pair of vertical frame parts 4 and connecting each of end parts of a lower frame part 6 in the longitudinal direction with each of lower end parts of the pair of vertical frame parts 4. The vertical frame part 4 is formed by a wooden material, and the upper and lower frame parts 5, 6 are formed by a metallic material 20 to have smaller frame width W2 than frame width W1 of the vertical frame part 4.
