PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric lock system enabling a security guard to promptly cope with an abnormal situation without providing a special device used only at the occurrence of abnormality. SOLUTION: The electric lock system includes an electric lock K provided at a common vestibule door D or an in-and-out door D of each room in a building comprising a plurality of rooms; an individual information reader R provided corresponding to each electric lock K to read individual information presented by those who go in and out of the common vestibule door or the in-and-out door D; and an individual information storage means for storing individual information which permits unlocking of the electric lock K. The individual information reader R unlocks the electric lock K when the read individual information is the permitted individual information. Abnormality detecting means for detecting abnormality in the building are further provided, and the individual information storage means stores abnormal time individual information for permitting unlocking of the electric lock K only when abnormality is detected by the abnormality detecting means.
