Class 100(2) An offset printing element comprises a surface layer of a butadiene-acrylic nitril copolymer having incorporated therewith a minor proportion of nickel dibutyl dithiocarbamate. The surface layer may be in the form of a sleeve 11 positioned over a resilient inner layer 12 secured to a shaft or core 13 to form a roller. Alternatively the surface layer may be formed on a separate offset blanket. The nickel dibutyl dithiocarbamate comprises 2 to 8 parts by weight for each 100 parts by weight of copolymer. The composition from which the sleeve 12 is manufactured may also contain, for each 100 parts of copolymer, 30 parts of soft factice, 2 parts of sulphur, 1 part accelerator (benzothiazyl disulphide), 1 part anti-oxidant (phenylbetanaphthylamine), 5 parts zinc oxide and 25 parts of plasticizer (mineral oil).
