PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clip and a clip unit with a short total length of an intracorporeal indwelling part, and a clip device having a function of re-catching the living tissue. SOLUTION: The clip 10 is composed of a pair of clip dwelling members 1 to be retained inside the living body after ligating the living tissue; a pair of clip proximal end members 2 to be collected in the outside of the living body after ligation of the living tissue; and a tightening ring for closing the clip dwelling members 1 by fitting to the clip indwelling members 2. The clip indwelling member 1 comprises a pawl part 11 at the distal end to ligate the living tissue, a plate-shaped body part having a prescribed maximum width part 12, and an engagement base part 14 into which the distal end of the clip proximal end is inserted. The clip proximal end member 2 is a bow-shaped spring elastic body, and comprises an engagement distal end 21 to be engaged with the engagement base part 14 of the clip indwelling member 1, a projecting part 22 close to the proximal end of the engagement distal end 21 to project outward, and a fitting base part 23 to which the distal end projection part of an operation wire is fitted.
