<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module that matches impedance of a signal pin with that of a signal line, even if an impedance matching circuit is not disposed therein. <P>SOLUTION: In a region where a stem 4 and flexible substrate 16 face from the connecting portion of the signal pin 1 and signal line 19, a hollow portion 35 is formed, by allowing a ground conductor 18 positioned opposite to the signal line 19 to be removed.
