<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce any labor required for setting a print format, and to print POP advertisements or a price label suitable for the type of merchandise in printing the POP advertisements or the price label. <P>SOLUTION: The print format of every merchandise is set in a merchandise information table, and the print format for each category is set in a classification table. When the print format is set in the merchandise information table, the POP advertisements or a price label is printed by giving priority to the print format set in the merchandise information table, and when the print format is not set in the merchandise information table, the POP advertisements or the price label is printed by using the print format set in the classification table.
