<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar code reading device which surely reads a bar code without inclining merchandise, such as a tray containing merchandise, to whose upper face a bar code is attached. <P>SOLUTION: This bar code reading device includes a polygon mirror 27 comprising first reflection surfaces c and e for carrying out the deflection scanning of a laser beam in an angular range of±20°with the optical axis as a reference; second reflection surfaces a, b, d, f for carrying out the deflection scanning of a laser beam in an angular range larger than that of the first reflection surfaces, wherein reading scanning patterns are composed of a plurality of second scanning lines formed by the second reflection surfaces a, b, d, f and first scanning lines in parallel with the second scanning lines formed by the first reflection surfaces c, e. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
