<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for correcting properly a defect of a color filter. <P>SOLUTION: This device for correcting the defect of the color filter corrects the defect of the color filter having a light transmission area and a light shielding area adjacent to the light transmission area. The device for correcting the defect of the color filter is provided with an image processing part 3 for detecting the defect of the color filter, and for determining an area to execute correction processing in the color filter, based on the detected defect, and based on a positional relation between the light transmission area and the light shielding area, and a correction processing part 50 for executing the correction processing for at least one of the irradiation onto the determined area in the color filter with a laser beam and the application of ink thereon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
