PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of variation in the flow of continuous images for each sequential shooting without leaving low importance images when repeatedly and sequentially shooting a series of similar operations of an object. SOLUTION: The camera 1 includes: an imaging device 15 for shooting the image of the object at a fixed shooting time interval; a storage part 21 for storing a reference image obtained by shooting the state to be a reference of the object; a difference calculation part 19 for calculating a difference between the image obtained by the imaging device 15 and the reference image stored in the storage part 21; and an overall control part 25 for thinning the images disposed before and after in the time sequence of shooting by different ratios for the image in which the difference calculated by the difference calculation part 19 is equal to or smaller than a prescribed threshold.
