PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for mutually joining thermoplastic resin moldings while ensuring qualities such as airtightness, pressure resistance, mechanical strength, dimensional accuracy and appearance configuration, and a joined body obtained by the method. SOLUTION: This method is for mutually joining thermoplastic resin moldings by means of ultrasonic welding. The cross-section of the joining part subject to the ultrasonic welding is such that: one side is of a convex shape 2a and the other side is of a concave shape 3a to be fitted into the convex part of the convex shape 2a, and the tip width of the convex part of the convex shape 2a is larger than the bottom width of the concave part of the concave shape 3a, at least one side surface of the concave part inside surface of the concave shape 3a has a slant surface in a direction making the bottom width of the concave part narrower than the upper surface width of the concave part, the ultrasonic welding is performed at the side surface of the convex part. The edge part of the tip surface of the convex part abuts on the slant surface of the concave part inside surface with point contact. The ultrasonic welding starts at the abutting site.
