PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To announce an appropriate guidance when one or more similar points exist within a predetermined range before a guidance point in a route guidance. SOLUTION: A navigation apparatus comprises: a guidance point distance determining means; an announcement controlling means; and an attention announcement outputting means. When a current location reaches a guidance announcing point for the guidance point, the announcement controlling means outputs an attention announcement through the attention announcement outputting means if the guidance point distance determining means detects one or more points having a road structure similar to that of the guidance point within the predetermined range before the guidance point.
