EXHAUST EMISSION CONTROL DEVICE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine capable of more accurately detecting the capability of a catalyst disposed in a muffler without deteriorating layout property of the muffler.

SOLUTION: An inlet pipe 24 is connected at an end to an exhaust downstream end of a catalyst case 20 disposed in the main muffler 1 and is bent in a shape bent upward so as to become close along a side end plate 4 of the bent main muffler. An O2sensor 30 is provided on the side end plate so that a sensor part 30b is situated in the inlet pipe.
