<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device of a vehicle equipped with an electric slide door which can achieve both convenience of a passenger getting in a car and protection of the passenger's privacy, and can issue a warning about slide door closing timing and door condition to the passenger. <P>SOLUTION: The illumination device built into the vehicle 1 equipped with the electric slide door 20 opening/closing an ingress-egress opening Hs formed at the side portion of a vehicle compartment, includes a plurality of lamps E1 to E8 illuminating areas inside and outside of the vehicle compartment around the ingress-egress opening, and an illumination controller controlling lighting of the lamps. The illumination controller prohibits illumination by vehicle-inside upper illuminators illuminating upper areas located above a beltline Lb of the vehicle compartment based on detection of remote control of the slide door and detection of the passenger around the entrance, and starts illumination by lower illuminators illuminating at least the slide door located below the beltline with an illumination pattern different from that when stopping the slide door based on detection of remote control for closing the slide door. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
