PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analyzing element chip capable of miniaturizing a surface plasmon resonance fluorescence analyzer miniaturized using the analyzing element chip. SOLUTION: In the analyzing element chip 10 and the surface plasmon resonance fluorescence analyzer using the analyzing element chip 10, the analyzing element chip 10 is equipped with a light waveguide plate 12 having a metal membrane 14 provided on its one surface 12a and guiding internally incident light to the metal membrane 14 and a transparent flow channel part 20 having a flow channel 22 through which a specimen flows in the state where the surface 14a of the metal membrane 14 is internally exposed. An incident surface 16a in which light applied from the outside is incident is provided to one side part in the direction traversing the flow channel 22 in the light waveguide plate 12 and the angle formed by the incident surface 16a and one surface 12a is 90°to below 180°.
