PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: there is such an inconvenience that in a conventional DVD camera, finalization is required for reproduction compatibility and a DVD menu is created during the finalizing process for preventing missing of photo opportunity, while in a camera using a BD as a recording medium, the finalization is not required for the reproduction compatibility of a BD player, namely, user's intentional execution of the finalizing process is not required, and therefore chance for creating the menu is missed in the BD, consequently the BD player cannot select and reproduce an own favorite scene. SOLUTION: In order to solve the problem, in the camera using the BD as the recording medium, in order to create a menu compliant with a standard even when the finalization is not required for the reproduction compatibility of the BD player, an application for the finalizing process is created automatically or manually, thereby the disk with which the user can enjoy reproduction comfortably, can be provided.
