PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a token selector eliminating a possibility of putting a player who has inserted tokens at a disadvantage by highly efficiently preventing the swallowing (passing through the inserted tokens without reflecting them in a game) of the tokens; and a game machine having the token selector. SOLUTION: This token selector includes a sensor for detecting tokens passing a slope passage and a dropping means for dropping the passing tokens; wherein the dropping means consists of a dropper 910 provided to drop the tokens on the upstream side of a position where the sensor detects the tokens in the slope passage, and a blocker 920 provided to drop the tokens on the downstream side of the position where the sensor detects the tokens in the slope passage; the dropper 910 is configured to move between a first position for performing a function of dropping the tokens and a second position for non-performing the function of dropping the tokens; and the blocker 920 is configured to move between a third position for performing the function of dropping the tokens and a fourth position for non-performing the function of dropping the tokens.
