PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exercise pattern selection system by which any user can easily select a desired exercise pattern, and to provide an exercise pattern selection apparatus and a program. SOLUTION: The exercise pattern selection system selects either one of a plurality of musical instrument types according to the operation of the user. The exercise pattern selection system selects a music category corresponding to the selected musical instrument type from a plurality of kinds of music categories, and selects the exercise pattern corresponding to the selected music category from a plurality of kinds of exercise patterns.
