There is provided a golf club which helps master a proper swing path easily without too much burden while hitting balls. A golf club 10 includes a hollow shaft 14; a club head 20 provided at a tip portion 16 of the shaft 14; a grip 24 provided at an base end portion 22 of the shaft 14; and balance-shifting means 26 which increases a swing balance of the golf club 10 in association with a swing of the golf club 10. The balance-shifting means 26 includes a partitioning portion 32 which divides an inside space of the shaft 14 into a first portion 28 on the tip portion 16 side and a second portion 30 on the base end portion 22 side; and a balancing material 34. The partitioning portion 32 includes a first shifter portion 46 which allows the balancing material 34 held in the first portion 28 to move to the second portion 30 side in association with a swing of the golf club 10; and a second shifter portion 48 which allows the balancing material 34 on the second portion 30 side to return to the first portion 28. The golf club 10 further includes a balance holder 36 which restrains the balancing material 34 on the second portion 30 side from returning to first portion 28 during a swing of the golf club 10.
