It is an object to provide an information providing service system for railroad users that makes it possible to provide optimum information depending on the running state or the like of trains which railroad users take and that is configured to improve the convenience for railroad users to acquire information. A passenger who rides on a car (1) and has an IC ticket (7) with a wireless communication function with him or her acquires information that is available on the car and that is held by a train information management device (2) or information held by a ground system (8) based on the information that is available on the car and that is held by the train information management device (2) through the wireless function of the IC ticket (7), and can look at the acquired information on a display screen of the IC ticket (7).
