<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine an interface for transmitting a sample included in a frame constituted of various lines and samples. <P>SOLUTION: Samples in a frame constituted of 3,840×2,160/24P, 25P, 30P/4:4:4, 4:2:2, 4:2:0/10-bit or 12-bit signals are mapped, for example, into first to fourth sub images specified respectively in HD-SDI format in units of two adjacent samples.
